Halloween

I love Halloween on this base! The weather was perfect. It was warm and very windy which made the beautiful leaves fly everywhere, and there was a full moon. Perfect! CHEESE!Good witch and Bad witch.Trick-or-treat! They got way too much candy. One of our neighbors brought out his T.V. and played Monsters Inc.

We had such a fun Halloween morning with Grandma J

Waiting for the tractor-pulled hayride. Logan is saying "cheese" for the camera. There were so many apples and the colors were beautiful! We ended with some fresh apple cider and apple cider doughnuts. Logan couldn't get enough!

Cross Country @ Lincoln

Now that's determination!
Clayton did great on this 1.7 mile course with a time of 13:26.
The weather was perfect and the foliage was beautiful. I didn't walk the whole course and after the race the boys told me that they "actually ran through the trees and over an awesome looking bridge!"

Cross Country #3

Clayton did better today. It was another home meet and he shaved 2 minutes off of his time last week.
Logan thought he was on the team and was running too! ;)

16 Months

Our baby is 16 months today! I can't believe how fast he is growing. He is beginning to have such a funny personality. He loves playing outside, figuring out how to do new things, eating, dancing, chasing, playing ball, drinking ice cold drinks, and also getting sprayed in the face with cold water. Although he rambles and doesn't make much sense most of the time, there are a few sounds that we have been able to figure out their meaning: Dada, Mama, Uh oh, Du (Dog or any other furry animal), Stu (stuck), Kk (yuck), Teetee (kitty), Cooookeeee (Cookie or anything that looks good to eat), It (sit), Goo (shoe), Ny ny (bye bye), Di di (Did it), a dair (right there), oooo wow! (usually said when looking at an airplane in the sky). He is just too cute!

Cross Country #2

This was a tough one. Clayton was not having a good day to begin with, it was 81 degrees with 100% humidity, and this was a longer course. But Clayton stuck in there and finished in 26th place with a time of 18:27 for 1.8 miles. Good job buddy!

Clayton's First Cross Country Meet

Clayton is on the Hanscom Falcons Cross Country team (5th-8th grade). He loves it! Today was their first meet in Belmont, MA. They lost but did a great job. Clayton came in 30th place with a time of 13:02 for 1.6 miles. In the last picture he is lined up in order-of-finish.

After talking about the race, he realized that he was "saving too much energy for the last part of the race and could have gone faster in the beginning and middle." Their next meet is next Thursday at home against Bedford. Now that Clayton has a good feel for how it all works, Clayton says, "Bedford better LOOKOUT!"

And it begins...

Logan loves getting into things, especially markers! The older kids have been doing a good job at keeping their markers and school supplies in the tin on their homework table so that Logan can't get them. I guess we have to come up with a new plan.....

Spaghetti pictures

This is one of Logan's favorite meals. Well, Logan really just likes to eat any meal!

First day of school

Clayton is a 5th grader! He got the teacher that he wanted, Ms. Moore. She teaches electricity so Clayton is very excited.
Autumn's in 2nd grade! Her teacher is Ms. Mitton. She has a couple of her friends in her class but knowing her I'm sure she will come home with many more.

Clayton's mohawk

Clayton wanted to have fun and asked me to give him a mohawk for the last days of summer. He is just too adorable!
