I have to post this, it is just too cute. Autumn loves that she can sound out words and write them now. Yesterday Chris and I were sleeping in (like we try to do every Saturday). When I got up at 8:30 Autumn was dressed with her hair done and said she was ready to go to story time at the bookstore with Daddy (they try to have Daddy/Autumn time every Saturday at Borders). I told her to wait because story time didn't start for 2 more hours. I started making breakfast and noticed a sheet of paper with Autumn's writing. After a minute of looking at it, I figured out that it was a To Do list. It said,
Do Tethe (Do teeth)
Git Jrest (Get dressed)
Go pode (Go potty)
Ete (Eat)
Har (Hair)
Sox and choos (Socks and shoes)
They each had a box next to it with a big check mark in it.
She is so cute and makes us laugh constantly.

On the way home for Autumn's basket ball game Clayton said, "Hey Mom, in my video game I found a wicked cool archer, I'll show ya'll when we get home." Definitely an interesting mix of Bostonian and Texan.

I signed Autumn up for Girl Scouts for the first time.
Mom: I have a feeling we will be buying a lot of Girl Scout cookies this year.
Autumn: It's okay mom you don't have to buy them, I will give them to you for free.
Mom: You can't do that. You have to buy them.
Autumn: You mean I have to make them and buy them?!?

While sitting at the dinner table Clayton started talking about where he will live when he goes to college.
Mom: You can live in the dorms at the college.
Clayton: I hope there are good-lookin girls in my dorm.
Mom: No, they usually have male dorms and female dorms.
Clayton: Oh man...why?
Autumn: Because girls don't want to hear or smell boy's stinky farts!

Autumn came inside from playing in the snow and said, "Mom, my coat is all wet, even the fur on the hood. Mom....is that real squirrel fur?"

After showing my ID to the security guard to get on base, Autumn said,
"Mom, if a bad guy came through the gate and his ID said 'I am a bad guy' that guard should NOT let him on the base!"

That is adorable!! Make sure you save that list- her kids will love it too someday. I can't believe she is 6 now!!
How funny, what an organized little girl. I need to make lists like that more often! I love her facial expressions, I hope one of our girls turns out looking like her. Lucy seems to have more of that Monks look. How are you feeling? Do you know what you are having yet?
That's my very favorite granddaughter! I make lists too!!
