Clayton finished his week long "Rockets, Sprockets, and Circuits" day camp. If you know Clayton then you already know that he had a blast! (pun intended, hehe) They made two rockets and a solar powered car. On their free time the boys decided to have a chess tournament and Clayton came in 3rd. The last day of the camp they invited parents to come watch them launch their rockets.
Here is Clayton putting the final touches on his rocket.
They were very excited, to say the least.
Clayton putting his rocket on the launch pad and doing a "safety check."
Once they had everything ready they were told to stand behind the cone with their hands behind their back. Clayton gave us some thumbs up.
Getting ready to push the ignition while everyone counted down 3 - 2 - 1.....
Blast off!

I didn't get a picture of Clayton watching the rocket shoot up into the air but I wish I would have. I have never seen Clayton more excited. He was shaking. After he calmed down he came up to me and said, "Mom, thanks for letting me do this. I thought we were just going to throw the rockets."
